Proximity helps you find things — but no one sees where you are in real time.

Why & how precise

Location helps find nearby activities and judge distances. Publicly, at most your city is shown (default); "exact" is your choice. There is no live location of others.

Check-in on site

• Code: the host shows four digits (window: 2 h before to 12 h after the event).
• Location: check in within range (about 250 m) — important so a venue cannot suppress a check-in.
• QR: scan with the native camera (no in-app scanner).

Homeward

Around the end you can — voluntarily — share only a coarse direction (never an address or coordinate). This is ephemeral and disappears on its own.
